The State of Michigan DOES NOT require that all air duct cleaners be license or certified
by the state to clean air ducts or by an organization.
Anyone who modified or access a commercial or residential ductwork must have a category 3 mechanical contractors license to do repairs, or make changes to the systems, including drilling holes or cutting access point to get access to the ducts or install aftermarket UV Lights or advertise they are using a sanitizer or disinfectant in your system.
No, you don’t need to be licensed to clean your air ducts.
They are companies out there miss leading the consumers in order to get you to use their services and over charge you.
Schuh’s Services has been in the cleaning business for over 36 years and have been cleaning duct system for most of this years, we attend trade schools and hand on experience that most don’t attend, or send out inexperience people to perform the work.
